Numerous used trading books for sale

Looking to unload all of them, unless there is some jewel that would be worth splitting them up. Trying to find an estimate of overall value.

Numerous used trading books for sale

Yes. There are a lot of different viewpoints on trading, and all are worth at least reading about.

Numerous used trading books for sale

I am retiring from active trading, and am getting rid of books I have read in the past. I am looking for a value that I should appraise the lot of them. I am thinking of giving them to charity, but would consider selling if worthwhile, and would appreciate any advice. All are in excellent...

    What Security do you use?

    1. I have a router and run Zone Alarm free edition as firewalls. 2. I run Avira Antivir free as my only antivirus. 3. Scan periodically with Malwarebytes and Super Antispyware free editions. I have had good luck with this combination, but have occasionally experienced malware infections...

    CyberTrading University - CTU

I signed up for the online course a couple of years ago. The initial webinar was free. I then negotiated a half price offer for the next level course, which I believe was the intermediate course. You had the ability to retake the courses anytime they were offered for no additional charge...

    re Todd Mitchell

My experience was a few years ago, and is similar to those who have tried the course. Large risk, small rewards leading to regular losses. One thing I did not like, was Todd displaying his methods by analyzing each days trading.......after the fact. He would reenact his trading day to...

Tradestation glitch cancels all GTC orders!

TS dropped my GTC+ orders for the second night in a row. What's worse....I never got any notice or email that they were having problems. Found out this morning that they supposedly fixed glitch last night.....but only after all the orders I reentered were dropped. Of course, this is not a...

Tradestation glitch cancels all GTC orders!

Opened up my platform today and noticed I had no standing orders showing. Should have had numerous GTC orders. Called and found out a server glitch had cancelled a bunch of GTC orders. I now have to reenter all of those orders. Not a serious problem for me, but imagine the consequences if...

    TradeStation vs. IB + Ninja

I manage to trade enough the get the TS platform for free (either 10 RT in futures or 5000 shares per month). My total monthly cost for data feeds and exchange fees comes to $29. That gets me both the emini data that I follow, as well as all the equities I'm interested in.

    TradeStation vs. IB + Ninja

I use Tradestation with IB as a backup. TS is excellent for charting and both are reasonable cost with low commissions. However, beware that both will give you inaccurate tick information (if you rely on tick charts) because of the way they process the data. Also, if you are scalping or...

If you trade, this is all you really need

One more small suggestion. Have a wired keyboard as a backup for your desktops. I have run into situation where I could not boot up normally, and was sent to the DOS set up screen. Wireless keyboard was non functional. F1 or F2 keys did not work. Had to plug in wired keyboard to correct...

Free Trading Class - Thoughts on it

You are correct. The free class is basically a sales presentation introducing you to the courses they offer. If you are brand new to trading you may learn a couple of tidbits, but it won't teach you how to trade. Go ahead and take the free class, can't hurt anything.....you might even get a...

    Turbotax and schedule D

Thank you Steve. Using the IB .txf file saved me a lot of time. Now waiting for Tradestation to do something like that......won't hold my breath. Reguarding wash sales: My last transaction for the year was on December 03, 2008, and was a profitable trade. I didn't hold or trade any...

    Turbotax and schedule D

I'm not a professional trader, or even a profitable one, but I make enough trades for it to be time consuming to have to enter each trade individually on my tax forms. I have accounts with IB and Tradestation and have been using Turbotax for several years now. Neither IB nor Tradestaion data...

Filing taxes as a retail trader

Concerning Turbotax, could someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this. It is my understanding that if you do not want to input and itemize every single trade on schedule D, that you can opt to put your total P/L from trades using Turbotax and then send a copy of your broker's trade log...

Scourge of America..."545 out of 300 Million"

All of these posts make excellent points. But to me, the key is MONEY. Money drives the entire political machine. It's not the best candidate that gets elected.....it's the one with the most money to spend! That then affects the entire system. Did anyone notice that back in January during...

Tradestation down 3rd time for the week

Not only down, but I couldn't even call them. Infamous "circuits are down" message. Never even rang.

Tradestation having bad issues this AM

Bad TS server problems this morning for me. First, could not log on....then.....had a severe lag in futures data for the NQ. Lagged my IB data by about 4 minutes. Could have been serious if I was trading then. Anyone else have problems?

Trading tax software for last minute filers

The way around the 90 day problem would be to utilize some decent planning. If you have Quicken, just download the trade data at least every three months. It will then be there come tax time. Unfortunately, the two brokerages I use are not on that list.
