    Who is Woodie???

Hey, you left out the smiley face! You cultists need to lighten up a bit. I was conceding that up to 100/500 of you may be profitable. :) Question is whether the good intentions of the few are really doing the other 400+ any good, and whether the profitability of the few has much to do with...

    Who is Woodie???

ET is a great place to hear all sides of an issue.

    Who is Woodie???

Hey, shut up about this! We want the 400+ fools to keep thinking they can make money using only CCI. :) (I'm sure Woodies intentions are good. So were Ponzi's.)

Same problem here, using latest and previous TWS versions.

    Bad NYSE TICK from IB?

Yes. Been using it for several weeks. (I plot this stuff, which is why I could easily see last week that it started differing systematically from values plotted by other data providers and charting programs.)

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Well, the "once a day" approach to involvement with this thread is not working for me. It's still too much of a distraction, so I'm going to have to eliminate the stimulus. :) It would have been fun to post more of our meals and snacks, and have them picked apart, but would have also been way...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Excellent point. :) Yes, I am inclined to adjust my environment rather than my inner psychological self. And yes, my diet plan, or any one of the lower-carb, higher-protein plans, may not be the "best" plan possible, especially with respect to longevity.

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Such an open-minded guy. Back tomorrow. If the delinquents can control themselves, I'll post my revised pancakes and sausage breakfast recipe. Am interested in hearing all objections and suggestions with respect to the new recipe. As our president is fond of saying, "Bring it on!"

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

I've already explained this. It is definitely not just about calories. Calories only control weight, not whether you like what you're eating, or how you feel after you've finished eating, or the ratio of body muscle to fat. Lower-carb, higher-protein diets address all of these issues. The...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

A YEAR to lose 25 pounds!? Gained 1/2 back in 5 years!? Hey, this is old-world dieting performance. You can do much better on one of the lower-carb, higher-protein diets.

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Well, since you haven't actually found any of my inevitable, human errors, you obviously know even less than me about this subject, and apparently have little to contribute to this thread. You might try practicing more humility and inquisitiveness, and spend less time throwing stones. I won't...

    Bad NYSE TICK from IB?

The NASD TICK today (Monday) from IB was also off. The NYSE and NASD TICKs had been accurate for the last few weeks, so I guess they can't be far from getting this working.

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

You see it as dangerous to push Atkins, and I see it as dangerous not to recognize its merits. There's something going on with all this lower-carb stuff that goes beyond a bunch of people following a guru. I've tried to outline what those benefits are in previous posts. With respect to...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

From the ratios shown in my last post, it is clear that the authors of "Health Risks of High-Protein Diets" are assuming that "high-protein" diets have net carb to protein ratios significantly less than 1.0. Most of us "lower-carb, higher-protein" dieters would agree that such ratios are not...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

oneway: Great to have all sides of the argument made clear. Am still "digesting" it all, but I notice one thing right away... they are attacking Atkins, but few of us posting about lower-carb, higher-protein diets up here are on Atkins. For example, in their on-line "Nutrient Analysis of...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

That's cool. I'm on a body-builders diet! What we noticed (when not body-building :) ) is that when net carb-to-protein is brought below 1:1, then that's when you start having problems with constipation tied to the higher protein consumption. (The upper limit of 1.4 I got from research...

    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Great article. This reminds me of my doctor's first evaluation of my blood chemistry results a few years ago: he completely missed the somewhat low LDL, high tryglyceride, and high glucose levels (together an indication of diabetes risk), and instead noted that my LDL was borderline high, but...
