    Medved QuoteTracker

Jerry: Are you able to receive email at support@quotetracker.com? I emailed you and haven't received a response.

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

I updated the version and it correctly saved the color scheme. For some reason the font was set to Arial. I changed to the default font after noticing a difference in the images in the help files. The default font made a big difference. The decimals now line up and it looks much cleaner...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

Jerry: I think QuoteTracker has potential, but there are a few major flaws in my opinion. It is impressive considering it is free and can interface with the different brokers. I appreciate your courteous, helpful response. I think there are a few simple changes you could make that would...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

Thanks for the info. I don't think I stated anything about saving on equipment. I simply asked how much the professional quote systems run because the prices aren't listed on the websites and I wanted to have a figure before I called. I don't always trade that kind of size, but when I do it...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

You are an idiot. What does the fact that I only recently joined have to do with anything? Do you think the trading world revolves around this board/website? I paid around $200 back in '97 or '98 for Baron's trading tutorial/manual. Ask him about it. Do you think ALL traders are aware of and...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

I simply asked about the prices and quality of the professional quote services such as Bloomberg, Reuters and CGQ. [/b] Consider me a modified swing trader then. I'm not a scalper. Markets turn on a dime and if I need to exit a large position in a fast, volatile market, the last thing I...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

I use Command Center strictly as an order entry platform and to track my porfolio. I use the Streamer console for quotes, level II, T&S, streaming news, etc. Ameritrade's system has been extremely reliable lately so that is not an issue. As I mentioned, I found Ameritrade's streaming quotes to...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

Quotetracker is an amateurish piece of crap. How am I kidding myself? It sounds like you haven't used Ameritrade recently as an Apex customer. I have also gone through shitloads of execution platforms, charting programs, etc. IB is good, but I don't like the fee structure. I'm not hampering...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

Don't knock it until you've tried it. It is free for Apex customers (i.e. free streamer, level II, T&S, DJ streaming news, etc.). Ameritrade's fees are $10.99 a trade regardless of the size of the trade or manner of execution. You can manually route orders (to any ECN, MMs, SOES, etc.)...

Professional feeds/software (i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, CQG)?

Anyone familiar with the quality and price levels of the following professional quote systems: 1) Reuters 2) Bloomberg 3) CQG There is no viable alternative for non-professional traders in my opinion. Qcharts and eSignal are a joke. Surprisingly, Ameritrade's suite of products (i.e...

    Best PCI DVI Video Card?

Aren't digital connections noticeably better? I thought you said there is a noticeable difference between digital and analog with the 191Ts?

    Best PCI DVI Video Card?

What is the best or most recommended PCI DVI video card for trading? I'm looking to get two PCI DVI video cards for my multi-monitor setup (2 191Ts) instead of one of the more expensive Matrox MMS cards. I need two true DVI connections (not a vga connection that converts to DVI). All comments...

    ViewSonic VP191B?

Does anyone have the new ViewSonic VP191B monitor? How does it compare to the 191T? http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10344224&loc=101

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

I am only referring to converting a VGA output to DVI through an adaptor. Cards with digital outputs offer a true digital signal... I think.

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

Do you get a true digital signal with a VGA/DVI adaptor or just a workaround? I imagine that the adaptor simply converts the inferior VGA signal to digital thus negating any DVI benefits. In order to experience DVI benefits, doesn't the signal have to be digital at every location?

    Dual Head PCI Video Card

"just bought an ati radeon 7500 pci card works great. i am now running three monitors no sweat. 69.00 on ebay in box" Don't you need three of these cards to run three monitors? Are you using DVI?

    monitor cable extensions?

Is there any signal degradation with longer monitor cables? Is there a difference between DVI and VGA cables in terms of length and degradation?

    monitor cable extensions?

I would like to place my computer more than 6' from my monitors. Is there a solution?
