Tax on a gift of stock

Hi I received some stock as a gift and was wondering how to report it or if it should be reported. It's value is well below its original purchase price both for the giver and myself---price has dropped since I received it. I am assuming that I must report it as income but can I claim a loss...

Obviously a retrace and resumption can occur after a given VE but I would only "expect" it to happen with a close beyond the LTL. Am I mistaken?

Getting down and dirty is where the rubber meets the road ...

O.K.---I figured out the deal with the VE in the blue elipse---the last VE bar did not end in the zone even though the previous one did---we use the last VE. So therefore we are not expecting M1 and M2 The seemingly broken pattern at the red arrow still bugs me---it probably has something to...

    Iterative Refinement

I've been wondering for some time and doing some monitoring on the daily timeframes......why are equities the next level of effective extraction? Aren't the benefits of the futures markets (taxes, execution etc.) still good reasons to trade a longer time frame? Jack has said for years...

    Iterative Refinement

Many thanks as well---these types of posts have helped me to begin to grasp the flow of the market and its signals. As to the "incorrect" part---if we had it down to perfection we would be bored out of our minds and then miss the signals anyway.:D Thanks
