I can see why the brokers would want to do that but wouldn't they be fined by the SEC? I was thinking of moving my money to another account to get around this.

Hi, I accidently made my fourth day trade today.. while trying open a position. Obviously I have less than $25,000 in my account. Is the 90 day restriction just for the particular account, or does it apply to every account I own?

After talking about getting into the stock market for years a friend and I opened a tdameritrade account and funded it equally. I was left in charge of managing the account and do all the trading. The account has done very well in the three years we have had it. My friend recently...

Liquidated all of my puts after a pretty big loss. with my luck this will tank next week now that I don't have any positions in it.

Thanks for your advice. A sizable chunk of my account is in those puts. I am probably going to liquidate them tomorrow. I had a really good run with PCLN until this happened.

got a whole bunch of sept 310 and 320 puts. This is just painful for me right now. if somethings doesn't happen by Friday, I am done.

So as hard it was go and check what I would have had I held on..I did This option had a high of .67 cents today so basically I would have had 21 dollars for each dollar I put in.. :eek:

Bought some 2 put option again. Last time this was at 306, it went down to 290...

bought at .03 yesterday sold at .11 today so it was more like 200% :D looks like it could have been 400% if I had waited:mad: oh well.

Hi, anyone know why BAC has options which expire this Friday (september 3rd)? I was under the impression that all options expired on the third friday of the month. I mistakenly bought some ( $13 call ) thinking they were the the september 18 ones. Oh well... alteast it was very little money

This just blows my mind. The author wants a tax just so that they can take that money and give it to a country which has been the source of the most recent terrorist attack and where a majority of the people are anti us.

in complete agreement here in fact I don't even think India offer better potential for the short term because the government politicians are so corrupt and shameless, you never know as investor what kind of monkey wrenches they are going to throw your way.
