I heard that since the Sungard purchase, they are not allowing LLC's. You may want to look into this if you decide to go through LLC. I think direct is better though. They are a pretty good company, specially after Sungard in the picture.

Most brokers will offer better commissions if you have volume. You just have to talk to them directly. In my opinion, I have been successful in getting better commissions by calling up the broker and asking them if they can offer me a price I want. It has worked for me. I am sure it can work for...

Self clearing firms may have cost saving advantages but this may not be the case across the board. A broker dealer who does good volume will generally have a good deal with its clearing firm. In my case, my rate is as good if not better than self clearing firms.
