Bloomberg CME GLOBEX or PIT data?

Is it a fair guess that the BBG data for front month ftr reflects both? Since from CME website, "If the CME Globex and open outcry sessions overlap for a given product, the trading day includes both the CME Globex session and the trading floor open outcry session."

Xchg Lingo: GLOBEX vs. NYMEX/COMEX Exchange

Hello: What is the difference between GLOBEX and NYMEX/COMEX? I am interested in the energy futures products. But in CME's pages, it points to data from GLOBEX and some from NYMEX/COMEX.... Is there any difference, and if so, what are they? Thanks so much!

    Bloomberg vs. Reuters

Thx for all ur responses. Two things 1. The central issue is how clean the intra-day data is BBG vs. Reuters. If Reuter's tick by tick data is not adding up to what is published on the Exchange for the settlmt price and final volume traded, that's the issue. Getting 30Day of clean data...

    Bloomberg vs. Reuters

Sounds good...but The major issue is that the intra-day or tick by tick data is reliable. We want to see that the volume traded all the way up to the market close adds up to the total volume traded published. Same thing for the price intra-day.

    tick-by-tick Bloomberg ftrs data

Hello: I am looking at Bloomberg's futures intra-day data for NYMEX WTI (ticker NG1). Has anyone looked at the historical 'Trade' volume tick by tick? For example. 10/30/2009, the total # of shares traded by close of market, Bloomberg says 412,394. But when we go to Bloomberg's...

    Bloomberg vs. Reuters

Hello: In Bloomberg, we have front month futures data for oil called 'CL1', where Bloomberg rolls from one front futures contract to another for you. How does this compare w. what Reuters has to offer? Has anyone come across this? Thx!

    Intra-Day Data

The Bloomberg ticker for closing price for the front month futures contract for natural gas is 'NG1.' Does anyone know how to get the *intra-day* (say every 5 min or 10min) price for the front month series that Bloomberg reports?

    Intra-Day Data

Hi Papa Lazarou: I used 'today' as a figure of speech. What I meant to ask was just what is the price that Bloomberg posts (intra-day) for the front month energy contract? Is the intra-day price (at anytime before end of day settlement price) available for every hour and for the last...

    Intra-Day Data

Does anyone know how Bloomberg gets these intra-day futures prices on their http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/commodities/energyprices.html For example, they have the price for the February-10 contract at noon today. I am confused at what is the difference between that price and the...

    Margin Calls

To clarify, you bought into the front month futures contract at the time yes? Or were the margin calls, on your position on options for the futures contract? So when margin is not met and 'position is liquidated,' is the position on the options on the futures contract or the futures holdings...

    Strange Shocks in Jul 2008?

Cool, thank you! Is the Inflation Trade done mostly in the 1st week of a new front month contract? Is there an article on the dynamics of the 'Inflation Trade'? I am looking at 1-M futures data that have figured all the rolls in the data already. For example, last trade for Dec '09 CL is...
