Larry Hite is a great one as well. He stresses how important it is to manage risk vs. knowing what market. He gives an example of a Coffee trader who knew everything about Coffee and ended up losing over a 100mil. Larry on the other hand just looked at it as risk per trade.

We have some clients that use IB for the friends and family setup. They say it works great. If you want to be able to charge fees though automatically you have to be registered as a professional. I don't believe you need a license though unless you are managing over 400k or 15 people.

We've been doing great with Forex. Our mentality is the same for trading anything. Trade with rules a plan and discipline. You also need to have a plan of when the inevitable draw-down occurs.

We use structure to trail stops. For example once we've gotten our 1st, 2nd and 3rd target and we're looking for a runner we look at market structure. If you need any help, contact me, I'd be more then happy to help you.

Exactly right. You need to have an exact trading plan of what you trade, how you trade with rules and everything. Most traders don't have that which is why most fail.

Generally when we want to trade the S&P we trade the ES futures, however we have played SPY with Options as well.

We use NinjaTrader. Very clean simple and its Free if you dont use the chart trader feature.

Some of the important factors in trading are many of things that most traders don't do or have. That includes: 1. Having a quantified plan 2. Rules 3. Discipline If you don't have at least those 3, you're usually on a road to failure.

We've taken some crude trades that have last for months. A lot of real wealth in trading comes from position and swing trading.
