it's true there is a lot of hype with apple, however, i just can't see them missing earnings. it's the same old story with this company. a lot of hype from the fanboys, releases of products not living up to expectations, and then yet somehow apple beats street expectations.

I have the 9530 too and as much as I wish I had an iPhone, I really don't have any of the problems you have. New messages don't affect my calls and the phone never freezes. Sounds like a problem with the phone itself or an old OS. Are you still running .75? If so, it's time to upgrade to .148.
