    True Prop Firms.

To the OP. You can go to this link and go through the firms. http://www.tradersnarrative.com/list-of-proprietary-trading-firms-735.html The list is mixed with true prop firms and leveraged retail arcade type setups.

    True Prop Firms.

So their traders are fully backed with no capital deposit? A real prop firm = you trade firm's money, no deposit. The terminolgy here is all screwed up. Most places that claim to be prop firms are just leveraged retail set-ups. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not a prop firm. It has...

Quad core doesn't support xp pro?

I have had dual dual cores (so kinda like a quad core) on windows xp 64bit with 8 gigs of ram for a while now. I use TT which does supports and recommends multiple processors and also run a bunch of live updating excel spreadsheets. No charts on the machine. Performance was greatlly improved...

Effect of rate cuts on Bonds?

yes. that is how it usually works. rates down, bond prices up. however, when the fed cuts rates it's done at the short end of the curve. there are other factors that come into play when you are talking about rate cut effects on bonds (usually refers to the 30 year), such as inflation...

Is rate cut a given next week?

BUT, inflation is looking good right now, no? Core CPI not too bad. You have to strip out anything that actually inflates and all things necessary to life, like food, shetler, gas, etc because when the prices of those things go up, it's not real inflation. It's also a good idea to...

    trading from home

One other thing. Do you have to trade from home? Your chances would increase greatly if you were willing to go into an office. I know there are some futures shops in Montreal. I'm not saying you're chances would be good, just better than trying to find a remote backed deal. Experienced...

    my boss blew up

Yeah the risk management there has some major holes. But to all the people telling this guy to quit, I don't think it's good advice. It's not like trading jobs are just being handed out to inexperienced traders, especially one that isn't even done with school! He's got a job where he gets...

    trading from home

Oh. Wow. This is funny. :D OP 8 days is meaningless unless you're doing about 1000 trades a day. Not even worth mentioning. It actually sounds worse if you mention that as a track record.

    my boss blew up

Well, on the bright side, there will be a spot opening up so maybe you'll be getting a promotion soon. :D Seriously, I don't know what prop firm you work at, I have some pretty good guesses, but that's a pretty piss poor risk management system they have in place. It sounds like your at a...

I hate it when i dont make money on days like this...

I would, in a heartbeat, pick being able to make money on days with normal and low volatility over being able to kill it on high volatility days. High volatility days are few and far between. Steady results are key to building size and confidence.
