I know MT4 allowed you to trade forex essentially “ going back in time “ so to speak, to practice sim trading.. anyone know of an equity platform that allows this? Most of my searching results just pull up back testing. Also I use range bars FWIW so the platform needs these.. thanks!

mentoring and learning can be done remotely especially in this day in age (screen sharing, etc.) Dont be so quick to toss it out. Although I do agree that in person is the best, it can still be achieved remotely if the system of teaching is solid.

I think the ORB based on some designated time interval isn't that helpful.... If you look at some sort of bands that are based off of ADR that change and are flexible it paints a clearer picture... My point is that you can jump around from 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute and not get too far...

This alone makes it worth a relatively cheap fee... Unlike other forums, you have to wade around 80% garbage, arguing and other nonsense just to gleam some decent info... Hell, his free section is very good also.

You obviously don't understand the millions it costs for the hardware alone. That's besides the point. If some firm has enough capital and intelligence to start one, getting a decent risk management plan is a no brainer.

I guess my point was that while they do "exist" they are far less common than they were b/4 electronic trading became popular. My point is that jobs that involve"working orders" on the buy-side as well as executing orders for sell-side clients are probably 5% of what they were 5-10 years ago...

I didnt think these jobs even existed anymore with electronic trading taking over. I would have to say limited upside, and not a career. If you are starting out and want a job to get you some exposure in the markets its good. But not really a career path as a clerk.
