You put 4 DAX on and that spread blows out and, you'll know all about it if you're a retail trader. DAX can do some pretty volatile moves intraday against other indices. 1 by 3 is fine if you have small capital. Agreed about knowing why it's moving.

With respect; were you paying attention to the news flow that day? It matters. Was this around the time of Japanese monetary policy changes? Massive move into European yield on that. FOATS went below US 10yr for a period! Yields moved dramatically around Italian elections. Yields...

I think you're starting up too many new threads. It's taking away from this section. I'd suggested having one thread titled "Grain News/Articles" or something and posting the latest interesting article there. All the new threads you post make it just look like spam.

Maybe there has been a miscommunication here. When you say you've traded up to 70 lots, do you mean having all that size on at once or do you mean a total of 70 loats traded in the day? There's a big difference.

You're missing the point. If you had those returns with 5/6 lots in the futures market people might take notice. With the size you're talking about, you should be generating far greater returns. Your max up day is brutal for that size being honest.

So in 60 days or so of trading you've not been caught out with a 20 lot on in the dax/cl or gc on any sort of news flow? Do you trade these markets simultaneously? i.e. ever long or short all three at once?

You trade 50 lots in the dax,cl and gold outrights. Futures? And only up 41K ($/€???) on the year? You must have taken some large draws and/or average a hell of a lot.

Why not avoid the big volume play and range trade the sucker then?
