    You can use TXF Creator (http://www.txf-express.com) which allows you to combine daily trades to reduce the total number of trades. Another thread in the forum mentioned investotec's tool. It may worth while to try it out.

    Why not use TXF Creator 1.3.2 (See http://www.txf-express.com)? It has direct support for Interactive Brokers. You can easily generate Schedule D. Most important, it is a lot cheaper than tradelog and gainskeeper.

    I chose Ing Direct for my profits. It is very convenient to transfer funds between banks, online brokers and Ing direct. it is FDIC insured.

    I have been fairly actively using my blackberry to do trades. Roughly one third of my over 200 etrades last year were done through my blackberry. It is very convenient for monitoring tickers in an open work space.

    Newbie looking on becoming a full time trader

    Think twice before placing an order. You need to have an exit strategy. Hedging through options is quite useful. When you made money, do not fool yourself into thinking that you can always beat the market. I just lost all my gains made from 2004 to 2007 in year 2008. :(

    Is Tradelog or Gainskeeper necessary?
