    Swift Trade Securites-Downtick rule

I don't think so. The NASD can take away Swift's license, though and all those kids will be on the street. Poor spoiled kids who think that they are great traders because they make 20--40K's a month will go to IB or anywhere else and blow their accounts within a couple of days because they are...

    Questrade

Well, it's still better than even 0.05 at IB when you trade a lot of shares. I know Swifttrade doesn't charge any comm., though.

    Questrade

I checked your website... it says that this is a sample deal. Does it mean that you can go even lower? Let's say, I trade 1,5 - 2 mil shares a day. And what is that Laser - something like IB's SMART? What about your executioner - how stable it is?

Why Canadian Swifttrade prospers while American firms go bankrupt?

Didn't know that. If they can't make 5K in a month with 0 comissions they really are monkeys. But think of it... will those times come when comissions are close to nothing? Or will day trading eventually just die? The floors are almost empty already.

Why Canadian Swifttrade prospers while American firms go bankrupt?

No they would not want to leave and if they would they'll blow their accounts within a month or earlier. There's no comissions and almost every trade they make can be profitable. Most of them make 1mil + shares to make 1-1.5 K and get 30% of it or even more if they get liquidity rebates. Good...

Why Canadian Swifttrade prospers while American firms go bankrupt?

    60K -120KU$ a year is 90K - 180K CAD. Not too bad for 20-25 y.o. kid, huh? Besides, it's average. I heard their best traders make U$10K - 20 K a month for themselves. Can you live on CAD 180 - 360K a year?

Why Canadian Swifttrade prospers while American firms go bankrupt?

Hmm. How many traders who get 95-100% consistently make 5-10K a month? I thought it's about money, not percentage.
