What about IB? It would be a pretty bad thing if their clearing firm go out of business since lots of people here, including myself, have IB accounts. I take the profits out on a regular basis -anything above 30K- so I am not so worried.
Get rid of the losers and keep the winners. Sometimes I still make money by having one winning trade and three losing ones by cutting the losses short.
I bet you'll come back. Heard lots of traders leaving and then eventually came back to trading. When you trade again, don't forget all the mistakes you made.
European markets often follow the US markets although they open ahead of us. The CAC 40 can be green the entire day until the NYSE opens. It then follows what Nasdaq and Dow are doing. I prefer to concentrate on only one market.
Investors don't know what selling short mean. They only do well in bull markets. Smart investors get out during bear markets and reenter when the conditions look better. Traders are in the market regardless of market conditions and go with the trend.
