Mav Would this comment also apply if you were only trading intraday? Or would you be only looking at say 5NLs rather than 30NLs? Or are you saying that regardless of timeframe you traded NLs would still be the key component even though the actual NL used may vary?

So does that mean that an intraday ACD trader should look for ways s/he can reduce variance by doing such things as: - using a 5 min OR rather than 30 min OR - trading ETH hours rather then RTH hours - avoiding London open if trading Forex

Does the time frame used also affect variance? For example, is someone who only trades ACD intraday and always exits prior to the close, at a significant disadvantage to say the longer term trader?

Mav, Does the same logic apply to the Futures and/or Forex markets? Or are you only referring to Stocks in this instance?

Was curious to learn how many people who follow this thread use ACD method intraday ... and whether you only take 2 trades per market per day. As I think Mark mentioned that if you get 2 stop outs (one in each direction) .. its time for the movies.
