Tough call. I am mostly a scapler looking for 5-6 ticks in my favor I got hurt big-time today on those two huge spikes I was profitable for 95% of the day, (shorted the first spike, after being caught short into it! @ $820.60, covered @ $813.80 for a nice profit) I scapled for the...

Oil moved more like $1.14; not $3-$4. Plus, the gold spike was right before the oil move.

Again, you dont get a $6-$8 gap up because of that

None of these answers make sense at all.

WOW Gold spiked twice today, once @ 9:15 to $821, than again to $821 around 12:30. I was short ahead of the spike and got my face-ripped off BOTH times Anyone have any insite into this massive move? PW

The spread and liquidity in the YG Jan contact is horrible ($1 to $1.3 spreads—with hardly any trades going on right now). When does this change? Also, I am new to gold trading (used to trade options and variance swaps)---any advise/books that are a must read? Much Thanks PW
