So are you guys saying that it is no good to try and trade SSF for Long term? Whats the maximum amount of time i can hold one contract for?

IB has a solid trading platform, very basic but functional and does it job well. If you intend to trade alot and need quick automatic stop, then you can download an API program which allows for that. As a whole I am happy with IB. And would recommend it to you.

Oh boy, scalping I think is the most difficult technique to make money in the emini. There are just too many competition for that price you want to hit. Any pull backs and you competing with a thousand other scalpers for that price, and usually you dont get it.
