Expected shortfall is part of the overall expectancy calculation. So you would weigh shortfall more heavily into expectancy calculations, right? If so then it is a valid consideration.

If the expectancy of your trading system in terms of % per year is > the annual % APR on your mortgage loan then take the mortgage.

I gave up on CNBC. And not just because of Cramer. All of their people are so full of it - they mostly talk nonsense and irrelevant to what's going on in the market. I watch Bloomberg instead. They are much more professional. Their discussions and interviews are informstive snd serious.

I think multi-tasking is beneficial. During trading hours, I do my daily exercise routine and some light cooking for lunch, while watching the progress of my positions. Trading is the highest priority so if necessary, I interrupt the other activites to get back to trading. My winning percentage...

No way .... GDP will be positive and over teh 1% that we had last quarter .... you just wait.

GDP is going to 0% and less..... forecast is for 2.8%..... I think we could see negative gdp by 4th quarter.

How do you define a "good" ROI in Day Trading. I know there are numerous definitions of ROI in books, magazines, ,webinars etc . But for small time traders, what is your expectation and actual experience?
