Actually, I am on sim right now. I want to see consistency in my sim trading before going live. I am using 2 sim accounts - one where I actually measure my performance as if live, the other where I try out different approaches and timeframes.

I entered on the dark candle after the large bo bar at 4410.75, stopped out at 4407.75. I have a bracket order set for +2.25 pts, -3.00 pts.

I am having a problem with waiting too long to get in. I got in the wick of the down candle and got stopped out. I have only been wrong on direction once in the last few weeks, but I am getting in too late to take advantage.

That is the reason I wouldn't live there. Beautiful state, bad politicos.

That is pretty much what I do. I tried coding a "speed" indicator a while ago without much success. It is easier just to recognize the price action.

@volpri Do you have a measure of volatility you use in trading or are you eyeballing it?

I have AMP/CQG and the last two issues he mentioned was reported to me by AMP. Fortunately I was not in a trade at the time.
