I wonder if this will have any toll on the housing market in Vancouver. A lot of the real estate here has been propped up by foreign (Chinese) money. I know there is a demand to live here, but the market here has been parabolic for over a decade now, will this finally cause a cool down?

Why jump 10 fold? Why not increase to 20k first.. Why kind of DD can you expect on the account of 10k? What if you had 40% draw down on your 100k? From the sounds of it you are no where near ready for that size. Baby steps, the market ain't going anywhere..

If swing and investing is so much easier and more profitable, why weren't you accomplishing that WHILE day trading. Help smooth out your equity curve. As for the 18 month draw down, surely as a successful day trader with a sound plan you should be able to pick apart why your edge isn't working...

+1 Exactly.. my closest friend plays online poker for a living. He plays about 3 hours a day and sees around 800 - 1k hands an hour playing 12 tables at once. Software with online poker allows him to keeps stats on all of his opponents ever played. Helping him distinguish who the regulars...

Emg creates those threads in order to make himself feel better about his own performance. Next he is going to come in and make some normal ignorant response that you need millions in order to survive in poker. It's easiest to just put him on ignore.

Sorry I should I have been more clear. When I was working, double time kicks in after an 8 hour shift. However they recently changed it a couple years ago to time and a half for the first 2 hours after 8, then double time after that, plus a meal. Any weekend work is all double time, 80 an hour...
