    Essential Media Subscritions

Just wondering what traders in equities, fx, futures consider essential reading for their trading: wsj, real money etc. Please state what you trade. Thanks for any replies.

I am thinking of buying a GAS SCOOTER

bicycle is a great way to get home from the bar too. You can probably get in some trouble for drinking and bicycling but a lot less than you would in a car. I've been told by the police that they'll give a lot more leeway to a drunken cyclist than a driver since the cyclist is only likely to...

    Did you take their course?

    Paid chat rooms

Thanks. That does look interesting and they have a free trial, but I think it might be a little over my head right now. I bookmarked the site to go back to later.

    Paid chat rooms

This is what I wanted to do above. Always wondered how people got the quotes in there.

    Paid chat rooms

Yes I have particated in a a number of paid chat rooms over the last few years and am still trading. They all had their particular pluses and minuses I believe a good moderator will actually tell you not to follow their calls, but rather learn why it is they are making them so you can then...

Taking 103K to 1.2million by Year End 2008

I read a lot of the thread, but I didn't see what software and data you use to do your scans. I've never tried to do automated trading, but I would like to take a look at it. Thanks for any info.

    backtesting fundamentals

I thought I'd keep this thread alive by posting another question. Can anybody recommend a backtesting program/site/subscription for testing e-mini that a beginner could easily use?

    Charting my trades

Are these all day trades, or are you holding some longer?

    Charting my trades

Would you tell me what you used to backtest your system? I've never done any backtesting, but your success has convinced me that scalping is not the way to go, which is what I really believed all along but I've been trying to scalp anyway. Congratulations, but with your work ethic it seemed...

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

Trend Fader, I would be interested in how you went about developing your mechanical entries, like what software you use, if/how you back test, etc. Thanks.

WIll Day Trading ever stop being profitable?

There are a lot of ways to daytrade. Follow the financial news and see what interests you and see how it's traded (futures, stocks, bonds, etc).

    RealTick Substitute

You might look at TC2000. I don't know anything about RealTick, but for $30 a month TC give you a great EOD charting program that is very easy to use for any number of charts.

    average range on bars

Thanks again. I think I can do that on quotetracker, which is what I'm using for now.

    average range on bars

Thanks, Pabst, but I'm asking a different question. There are nine 10 minutes bars by 11 a.m. Is there any way to tell what the average range on those bars was?

    average range on bars

Is there a tech indicator that gives you an average range, such as the average for the 3 min, 15 min bar intraday for the emini? Is this something provided by some chart providers and not others?

    prem, futures, program trading

Gotrader, thanks. I think you have given me enough info to use the PREM in my trading. I also don't get the PREM for charting, but I think I can follow it close enough for now just watching FV with cash and futures since I try for larger swings instead of scalping, but using it with an osc...

    prem, futures, program trading

GoTrader, what I understand about what you said sounds good to me, but I don't know a lot of the jargon you use: 912 handle, exhaustive W3 up, W4 retracement, PingPong, etc. I hope you post some more comments about trading with the PREM. Today on CNBC I think they said about 45% of current...

    prem, futures, program trading

Thanks, Pabst. Your explanation cleared up a nagging doubt that I was missing a major signal, which I surely am missing many, but at least not the one that doesn't exisit. BTW, like beer?
