    New CEO of Bright Trading

I just heard that Tammy Bright has been named the new CEO of Bright Trading. If this true, I would like to be one of the first to congratulate Tammy. I was with Bright for over 8 years, and had the pleasure of working with her on many occasions. She is a great trader, and I am sure she has been...

    Gene Weissman

I did not know Gene personally, but whenever he responded to any of the threads on this site, he was very professional, and handled himself with class, never giving into the petty squabbles that took place, instead tried to give positive feedback. My condolences to his family.

    Hammer Trading Plateform

You are correct, I have never tried to use Hammer charts. The software was meant for trading. When we used Redi, we used First alert for charting. Our office now intergrates Hammer and E-sgnals. I have found this to be a very good combination.

    Hammer Trading Plateform

I used Redi plus for years, I have used hammer for 3 months, it was made for traders. We are using E-signal for charting, etc. We have a link from Hammer to E-signal. The traders in my office can hit all ECNs, with Mega swipe, etc. they love it and are doing very well. It is the fastest...

    Comission and Bullet Rates

The reason we can enter orders and cancel so fast is because SLK has a dedicated server just for Brights basket orders. We are constantly enveloping our orders during the day to catch any gap up/down prints. It works very well.

    Comission and Bullet Rates

    sorry, soon allow us....

    Comission and Bullet Rates

Bright just lowered their bullet rates to 1.5 cents per share, 500 share minimum. For new traders, they can use the older version and pay 2.5 cents, 100 share minimum. BTW, the new version of Redi (TIBCO) will soon along us instant access to bullets right form the montage. Also the new basket...

I have been listening to Bob for about 3 weeks. The first week he had about 90% winners, the last week and a half he probably broke even. Some friends in Chicago who told me about Bob have been with him for a few months and have done very well. Bob just started a website...

Going Pro with Bright, Echo or another

FYI, read the fine print, Bright charges the same commissions for Nyse and Nasdaq. There are no pass thru charges at Bright, but some other firms say they will "rebate if you add to liquidity". They pass all ECN fees to you. You will still be paying more commissions under this plan.

    san diego firms shutting down??

You are correct with regard to Bright, as they do not franchise. They pay for everything; lease, data feeds, computer equipment, etc. I never see a bill and that's the way I like it.

    san diego firms shutting down??

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, just got back from the dentist. With regard to the traders from Protrader and Van Buren, I spoke with 6 different traders, one said he was successful and had the capital to trade. The others all wanted to trade with either no money up front or maybe could put up...

ECHOtrade seminar in SD and NY

Just thought I would add my 2 cents. I lived in Boston, moved to Chicago (stayed there for 18 years) and for the past 7 years have been in San Diego. You can't beat the weather, no matter how 'bad' it is, there is never anything to shovel. We opened our office in the beautiful La Jolla Village...
