IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

I use DSL, with fiber-optic to my building. I rarely get Internet interruptions that's physical/equipment-related. Since ThinkorSwim and my local broker feed both work normally, and IB TWS did quite well until days ago, I don't think my computer and my Internet connection are the problem...

IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

How to switch to Hong Kong gateway? Years ago Hong Kong servers didn't deliver some elements of market data, such as high/low. For futures trading displaying high/low on TWS is a convenience. And Hong Kong servers reset during US's trading hours, while US servers reset around noon of Hong...

IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

rwk's experience is similar to mine, except that mine is much severe and long lasting. Restarting TWS, or even computer, would be back to normal --- normal for only minutes or even seconds. Someone on this forum said there's something wrong with Java 7u40...

IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

I live in Taiwan (NOT a province of China), using CHT's HiNet which is responsible for almost all overseas connection. I use fiber-based xDSL. As I had said, ThinkorSwim, which used to be slow, is fast and reliable recently. And my local broker's feed, relayed from Reuter's, is also...

IB market data stall --- TWS or Java or Windows 8?

Anybody experience this same issue? Recently (at least for 3 days) market data on TWS sporadically stall, then burst, then stall again, most noticeably for US futures, to a less extent for US stocks, while spot forex seems to be least affected. In doubt Java SE 7u40 was the culprit, I...

With JRE v 1.4.1_02, if you run browser version of TWS or any other JRE-based applet, now when login after typing user name you can use TAB key to move forward to the password item. Can this be counted in as a bug-fix or improvement?

...Need software to feed TradeStation with Esignal datafeed... Any opinions?

I think what Mercury77 meant is really that Isn't ts2000i directly and officially supporting (or supported by) eSignal? OnDemand Server from traders-soft.com may be the solution you want if you don't want to keep eSignal/TS2000i connected 24/5 to collect and maintain the data. If you...
