    Lynx Capital Partners

Hi Ron, This is the first time I've read about the three setups you mention above...never heard of them before (the downside of trading at home, I guess.) Can you give me a little info about each of them? Thanks! Best regards, Jim

    Baron how about this...??

Yes, but that doesn't take into consideration the measures many have taken to avoid spam...that is, using hotmail, yahoo, etc. (that was mentioned in an earlier post.) I don't like the credit card idea much either... Jim

New IB tools for faster trades (reviews)

Esignal has released a pre-beta of 7.1 that has integration with IB...I know, as I'm one of their beta testers. They have made some refinements to the software within the past few days and I've got the second pre-beta release to work with for the next couple of weeks. I'm really impressed...

    IB down?

I don't know about you guys but I don't feel confident enough in IB to enter any more trades today. I hear the golf course calling... Later, Jim:

    Trader's Internet Connection Speed

No, that was just my opinion about pix... If there is anything from Baron about this, I haven't heard. BTW, this isn't my forum so what I posted was, again, just an opinion. Best regards, Jim B.

    NYSE "Open Book" helpful.

Day, Thanks for the underwhelming reply. :p Your comments, really, are much appreciated. It seems like everyone is 'ho-hum' about it....and you can tell by the lack of posts about it here that there seems to be little interest. Anyway, thanks for the reply...much appreciated. Jim

    NYSE "Open Book" helpful.

There's a great thread re scalping on the board and the NYSE "Open Book" came to mind when reading it. I had almost forgotten that it even exists. On the face of it, the open book should be a valuable tool when scalping listed stocks but you know, I haven't read much about it...

Dual Wan (cable & dsl) solutions

...isn't new or original but has proven itself many times. I continuously run both my PC's and a laptop off two inverters which are powered by four deep cycle, lead-acid batteries and a good charger. It isn't the most elegant solution...you wouldn't want to do it if there wasn't sufficient...

Matrox powerdesk drivers crach xp home

Nope. For now, IMO, stay with the drivers that came with Win XP. Does Win XP come with drivers that specifically support your Matrox card?

Matrox powerdesk drivers crach xp home

I hesitate to advise you because you're using an operating system I'm not familiar with, a new box, etc. imo, you need to go back to a configuration that works. Try a simple single monitor card and the generic drivers that come with the OS. If you can get that to work, you're well on the...

    NexTrend Slow Data Feed

I can really appreciate your frustration but, hey, I'm not Nextrend and if they want to lose a client, that's their business. But as I wrote in an earlier e mail, their customer service has always been good, imo., and I can't see them letting you get away because of a bad IP address or...

    NexTrend Slow Data Feed

I just did a side by side comparison between nextrend, esignal and IB. At my location in the states, Nextrend is running very slightly behind esignal by about 1/2 second. Oh wait...you guys across the pond are using that funny french metric thing...converting 1/2 second would be...
