    Financial Advisor or Trader

...this statement a recipe for failure in trading. ...wrong. but I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do. I agree with you that selling financial products to people for a living is not the way to go. I doubt I could sleep well at night if I did this. There are many no load...

    BEST J-TRADER FEED around

I had an account with them and another RCG broker at the same time and both used the same Pats Host and price IP addresses. maybe that means nothing, I don't know.

    BEST J-TRADER FEED around

You are not ridiculous. that sounds too harsh. BUT. You are wrong as of 5 months ago Elocal uses the same RCG servers as other RCG brokers such as Cytrade(eminilocal), etc... I know this first hand.

    BEST J-TRADER FEED around

Well Elocaltrading is an introducing broker for Rosenthal Collins Group. So your post is rather ridiculous as your best broker is also your "stay away from" broker.

    Min account balance

If you have not traded index futures before then it doesn't really matter if you start with 5k or 2,500 because either amount will not last, it will be lost. If you already can trade then it also doesn't really matter either because you'll be making money most days and just increasing the...

    S/R trading strategy

Intraday Treasury futures; when the market is bidding and trades up through a previous level, buy the retrace to that level or within a tick. when the market is offering and trades down through a previous level, sell the retrace to that level or within a tick. Wait for the market to tell you...

What are intial and maintenance margins?

Initial margin is the amount you need to put on the trade and maintenance margin is the minimum amount to hold it. If you go below maintenance then you may have to liquidate the position or deposit more funds. If you are just daytrading electronic futures then most firms don't use these...

    Clearing codes

I see all the clearing firms codes on all my trades as well with RCG as my broker, I don't even use Xtrader. Knowing the firms on the other side of my trades does not provide me any valuable information.

What Does " Risk" Mean Here ?

It means that your share size(contract size) on each trade is based on the value of the account. From your example in the E-mini S&P500 if you have a 4 point stop on a trade($200 per contract risk) you would trade 10 contracts for a total of $2000 risk on the trade. However, these position...

eCBOT (YM) stops, who can view them?

trade an account at another firm for a few months and see if you have the same thing. Use order entry software such as J-Trader or Trademaven for this experiment which keeps all synthetic stop orders on your local machine and never seen by a broker. -most likely it is the market bidding up...
