I am sorry to hear about your day and hope you are feeling better. Yes, my comment was intended to be in good fun. That is why I put the smiley face at the end. Take care and I look forward to more of your postings which are truly fantastic IMO. Joe.

Do you own a nice watch?

I agree but I also don't carry a cell phone on my person. The cell phone stays in the car. Joe.

Incorrect analysis. Your error is that you made the selection of balls for system B correlated with the win rate. The correct analysis is that since there is no correlation, each ball has an equal chance of being selected which will result in a combined signal win rate of 60%. Joe.

WOW! I am sure if you tried harder you could have included a few more insults. I have no idea where all your anger comes from but the original question was not whether or not the single system was better, the original question was: what is the winning rate? Joe.

In addition, your horse example is incorrect. If horse 1 has already won, the chance of the next horse winning is 60%. I think you are referring to: What is the chance of hitting two winners in a row? Then the correct answer would be: 36%. If you don't understand the difference, you really...

One should really be sure they understand something before they call somone else a bozo. With all due respect, you are not understanding the problem presented in this thread. Joe.

60% Joe. PS. If the combined signal win rate was different than 60%, then the two systems must in some way be correlated. Joe.

 Who knows where the price of silver will go? In my case, I still collect but due to the run-up in price of silver (and I have been a consistent buyer of silver coins since 3x face value and now silver is at 30x face value), I have sold enough at this point that all the silver I own is...

Agreed. There is also no problem with Kelly. The problems usually arise because of faulty inputs (such as believing you have a 75% chance of receiving 5-1). Joe.

This thread should have taught you that the above is not correct without context. Someone using a strategy of large "win" % for small gains, even without an "edge", can show significant gains and ROI until the the small "lose" % for very large losses shows up to take away your gains and then...
