    Data Seeking - Question

Thanks to both of you. For some reason I was trying to use the chart itself to retrieve the data. I completely oversaw the "historical price" right up in the top left corner. Not much of a computer nerd, obviously cant see either. I would still like some additional suggestions if anyone...

    Data Seeking - Question

I haven't quite figured out how to export Open, High, Low, Close daily figures going back. I will look at that again. Thank you for the telechart suggestion.

    Data Seeking - Question

I currently have an account with Scottrade (Their ELITE platform) and can get daily data going back 16 months I do believe it is. Is there a source (through a broker or internet site) where I can export or download daily data going back perhaps 5 years? I am not seeking charts, I am seeking data...

S&P has had it ! Intermediate term top right here !

You people know that the last even mentionable dip was back in Feb. - March right? Why try to pick at a top, don't folks find it easier to just position themselves in a trend and let your profits run? I suppose I am in a minority, I like trading to be simple.

Dow @ New Intraday High for 7/12...

Exactly what I was thinking, if the market was that predictable by that guy ... I think he would be doing something other than making 40 posts a day or whatever his rate is. Everything is so obvious after the fact. The same debate goes on in the currency market. "Professional" analysts have...

    Clarification on Futures Contracts

Hey all, I have sent numerous messages to several futures brokers and have not received many responses. It appears to me that Interactive Brokers is the only broker that trades FUTURES currency crosses such as Australian/Yen, Euro/Swiss Franc etc. Why is this? Is there just no liquidity in...

    Stupid ETF Question

Thanks for the help folks, I was unaware ETFs were just now becoming a big thing. Will log all the links, I appreciate it.

    Stupid ETF Question

Ha, thank you for your concern. I use TeleTrader services for my forex trading, I do not trade stocks/etfs often. I do not want another service I wont use. USO was listed in 2006 as another poster stated, that is what I was interested in.

    Stupid ETF Question

How come when I look at all these ETFs, the chart only goes back say, 3 months, 6 months? Do they just not offer charting records going back that far (the brokers?), or do the funds somehow get renamed and or reset? For instance, I have just recently started trading USO, my broker only...

    Flexible Order Sizes

Thanks for the reply. The reason I am interested is because I have begun investigating the benefits of selling one future against another. Say Crude oil against propane etc. Since the two are heavily correlated, same $ amounts would work into the positive if entrances were made efficiantly...

    Flexible Order Sizes

Is there a way to be flexible with ones futures contracts? I want to be able to enter a specified $ amount, not pay such and such for a contract. Is there a way to do this? Or perhaps there are stocks that represent specifically the Nasdaq, Dow, SAP etc.

    Housing Futures

Anyone trade housing futures? I am a bit skeptical about how the market futures work. However, I obviously do not have the time to go accross the country and invest in individual markets, is this really the alternative? Or would it likely be better to stick with mutual funds or individual stocks...

    Futures Charting Software

In your last statement, that is what I am looking for. I am looking for a good charting service that will come with a broker and will allow me to do these things. For instance, I have a forex broker that allows me to use their charts and I can do all sorts of overlaying and comparing, if there...

    Futures Charting Software

Hey folks, Great content on this site. What I am interested in finding out is.. is there a charting service, prefer free.. that allows the overlaying of different futures. Crude oil vs propane for example to show the relation? I would like it to be part of a broker, though willing to have...

What kind of Forex broker is best?

Go with Oanda. They only offer 50:1 leverage but you can trade 0.01c and +. It will give you smaller dollar amounts to gain confidence with. They are probably just about the best Market Maker out there. Use AccuCharts or North Finance demo to get MetaTrader charts.

    Misc. Fees IB vs MB:

Yes, I agree. Some brokers give the Level II out free if you trade enough. I was just curious if IB did the same. Thanks everyone, I learned all that I wanted to and then some. Will go with IB for now.

    Misc. Fees IB vs MB:

If I trade 10 roundtrips or more a month does Interactive Brokers give the Level II for free? Does MB Trading give their Level II quotes for any size account, or do you need a minimum? Thanks again everyone.

    Misc. Fees IB vs MB:

Guys thank you for the heads up. Looks like I will go with Interactive Brokers and see how things go. Will probably open up a smaller account with MB just to compare. Thanks again, Stock

    Misc. Fees IB vs MB:

Hey folks, I have reviewed MB and IB trading fees and such. From other traders experience, if I trade about 10 times a month on stocks normally above $20/shr. Which would you prefer? Scottrade doesnt have any serious fees to worry of, though trading $14 / round trip is just a bit too much for...
