    IB paper account with Tradingview

I am not sure if anyone has success signing into their IB paper account with tradingview. I keep on getting "Paper trading with live credentials is not allowed." However, live accounts do work.

    Help with Risk Reward

I have stumbled across quite a few people mentioning higher timeframe would yield better R:R, do you mind explaining to me why this is the case? My novice ignorance can only see the same type of candlesticks across all timeframes. Where exactly is the difference between higher TF vs lower TF?

    Help with Risk Reward

Hi fellow traders, I have improved from a risk:reward of 10:1 with indicators to 3:1 with supply & demand price action over the past year. The thing is, when I even try to do 1:1, let alone higher reward than risk, the price movement easily touches my stoploss. I understand that higher...

Does anyone change their moving average period based on volatility?

I would sa I would say yes as pretty much any huge candlestick will show a spike in volume, never seen a huge a candlestick with low volume. But perhaps I just haven't witness one yet.

Does anyone trade Supply/Demand Zones (RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR)?

Here's an example of my struggle. Note "HFT D" = demand zone drawn with higher timeframe and "HFT S" = supply zone drawn with higher timeframe. Notice how it was bullish for 6h straight and never did it retrace back to any previous demand zone until the yellow circle. I am also a trader that...

Does anyone trade Supply/Demand Zones (RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR)?

Yes, over the course the past 6 months, this has proven to be a better strategy than to just rely on any lagging indicator. Again, I am just wondering if anyone else is using a similar setup and can give advice on perhaps what to watch out for?

Does anyone trade Supply/Demand Zones (RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR)?

That's a great one smallfil, however, I forgot to mention I do use mult-time frame to go with the trend. The most troublesome area is often when the 2 time frames no longer are in sync. For example, the 1h is starting to look like a reverse, but ofc the 4h is still pointing down. What would you...

Does anyone trade Supply/Demand Zones (RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR)?

I switched from using indicators to price action last year and is having better results. However, the biggest issue I still face is determining RBR/DBD/RBD/DBR live. Once a while I can see that the price breached out of the supply/demand zone along with candlestick pattern to confirm an entry...

Has anyone come across a public indicator on TradingView similar to this video's?

I am not suggesting this video's guide is on point, i find it pretty silly as well. However I use TradingView as my primary charting platform and I do like the idea of seeing book skew and MTF trends all in one without flipping back and forth. Again it would be appreciated if you can answer the...

Has anyone come across a public indicator on TradingView similar to this video's?

It is a nice 2 in 1 indicator which includes a long vs short volume and also market sentiment on multi-time frame. (@ 6:10)

Does anyone change their moving average period based on volatility?

I am interested to know if anyone change their SMA/EMA/WMA/KAMA/LRMA/etc. when volatility changes? Let say ATR is rising, would you increase/decrease the MA period to make it more/less sensitive? And the bigger question would be, is there a relationship between volatility and moving average?

Anyone have experience with bid-ask spread arbitrage?

I am curious to know if it is even possible to perform bid-ask spread arbitrage as a retail trader since most brokers do not allow naked shorting. But let say I spot a disparity between IVV and SPY, how can one take advantage of these quick arbitrage opportunity without using option?

How do you know when your strategy stop being profitable vs a short drawdown period?

No, my system can go long and short, it's just unfortunate that 3 days in a row it entered when there was a slight pullback, yet not enough to reaching my profit target.
