will the eminis closes befor enormal hours today? everyone else is?

I'm getting data from 2 paid sources for the eminis. Both show the following. ER2 open 641.80 last 643.90 change +0.80 Shouldn't it be +2.10 ? Isn't that off? It was like this yesterday too, and I couldn't understand (not that i usually do) ER2's change indicator...

what exactly happens in such case? I really thought one could identify very short term market direction using market depth. alas, no.

well it did dip into 629 :D I have a lose of 4 points today, recouping them few ticks at a time.

I get my news from CNN (rss feeds through Firefox browser). The problem I have with them is their timestamps on the news, they're not logical, so the latest news might be three lines down :eek: Greetings Qyu !

this miracle saved me from a few points loss. what did it do for you right now? add: by the way, from whom do you get your news headlines? add2: Ib takes 8-12 seconds to fill my small MKT/DAY orders. I was under the impression that it was "instant".

Nonsense :D see, there really was a problem with the platform. I wrote QM for symbol and NYMEX for exchange in the Add Ticker window, and it just added QM to the page without giving me the futures or date option. it was solved by adding it directly to the field.

alright, it was added thanks to Ib chat. there was a problem (:eek: ) with the platform, using the add ticker button didn't work properly (as in give me the option for futures/date). writing it directly into the field work. thanks folks My first day and I'm in the green. I'm calling it...

thanks, and I found out that QMQ05 is not allowed in my IB account :confused: tradestation is a broker, I can't see their quotes for free without an account :D

Alright I found it and added it to my page. Alas, I don't see any quotes :( I think I should ask these questions directly to IB :p

Today I watched the Nymex Crude prices to decide market direction and realized I only had delayed quotes. My account with IB dosen't mention any NYMIN exchanges fo rme to get real time quotes... How can I get it? PROBLEM SOLVED by adding QM to the page field

does IB have a night desk and observe CME hours for intraday margins? and is it as low as 500 or more like the announced 1350 for ER2? thank you for the extra help folks, I really needed to know the full info on trading hours. It "might" help ;)

Hi, at the CME, I found the following info for the CME E-mini Russell 2000; Weekday Openings 15:30 Sunday & Holiday Openings 17:00 All Closings 15:15 I'm confused :( I thought it opened at 9:30 and closed at 16:30. Please let me know, thanks.

what's the danger of setting it at 20 ? seems to me, that it's the only way to go. oh and I'm a total noob, so don't take it as advice, but as a question.
