One contingency on the arb is if you can't find a way to automate it you might move too slow and get burned on it for commissions or a tick.

For some stocks, especially premarket, open, or after hours (when things are moving quick/relatively low vol) you can find some good arb opportunities. If you aren't interested in that or you don't do massive volume it probably won't matter.

What is the difference? If I use a pure automated system all 3 should perform the same, correct? We have all read that 90% of trader lose money. I want to know why so many make money in demo trading but lose money live. Thanks.

What are the differences? For an automated system they should all perform roughly the same if the rules are followed explicitly, correct? We have all heard 90% of traders lose money, so I am trying to find out why so many are profitable in demo and then lose.
