    Waves

I think the waves platform should be of interest to this community. It has an already functioning decentralized exchange. I've traded on it and while right now it has low liquidity and a very simple client, it is fast, cheap, and decentralized. The implications to me as a trader are...

I think the take away is that you have to think for yourself. There is massive opportunity right now along with plenty of chances to buy garbage...

http://www.thedailybeast.com/why-is-the-kremlin-suddenly-obsessed-with-cryptocurrencies Stuff like this is interesting. Governments are starting to take action. If you can figure out the way things will shake out, it could be the investment of a lifetime.

A thought here. Most crypto is still too hard to understand for the masses. When that changes, and there are easier ways to move Fiat into crypto, things will go nuts.

Yeah I'm doing my best to get ahead of the curve on understanding the tech, and buy into the ones that are really bringing something to the table. Of all the garbage out there, there are around 5 that I'm in to. I'm not playing the pump game, looking for long term investments. Although if I...

I guess I'm a naysayer, but I am actively buying other tokens. Bitcoin price is fueled by Chinese gamblers, not real demand.

We already have a UBI: It's called Mining Crytocurrency

I did my math a while ago when btc was much cheaper and I'm not really interested in doing it right now. I think these things tend to catch up quickly. Again I hope it works out well for you.

We already have a UBI: It's called Mining Crytocurrency

Are you accounting for equipment cost? Most are lucky to pay off the equipment due to constant difficulty increase from what I have read. I know there are tons of rigs for sale on Craigslist if that says anything.

We already have a UBI: It's called Mining Crytocurrency

There is no barrier to entry besides a little money and tech skills, so it comes down to power cost. I don't get subsidized electricity so for me mining would be a loser, pool or not. Side thought, I wonder how long it will take for violent criminal types to start hitting these big miners...

Bitcoin price hits $4192.09- will it hit a new high all time?

Not sure why we need another thread...2 most expensive crypto btc bch are the least useful of the bunch. It's a matter of time before they drop and the money all goes to the useful ones.

    Backing poker players

That isn't necessarily true. It makes more sense mathematically for most people to sell a service than it does to make bets. Or even better would be to do both, and invest business profits into the trading or poker gambling business. That reverses the mathematical problem I experienced as a...

    Backing poker players

I played online full time for about 8 years total. I was never backed but it does make sense for the player. When you add the need to withdraw money on a regular basis to volatility analysis, bankroll requirements become astronomical in terms of # of bets. In my case I earned over 1.5 million...

    Global Macro Trading Journal

I know one of the traits of a bubble is people thinking "this time it is different" but in this case we are looking at some pretty world-changing technology. I think the key is to look at each project with some common sense. To me 4k bitcoin is ridiculous and many of these projects are 100%...

Why Bitcoin Is Worthless: The Definitive Guide

I guess I should check back in about 3.5 hours to see if my transaction went through. :) I honestly wouldn't be comfortable holding a lot of $ in bitcoin even for the time it takes to transfer it where I need it. I'm probably going to move my money 10 pct at a time when I figure out what I...

Why Bitcoin Is Worthless: The Definitive Guide

This is a really well thought out and logical post. Your point that if you always are waiting for the perfect tech you will be sidelined (like me so far) is a great one that I wish I had understood sooner. I disagree on your assessment of bitcoin. I don't think it currently provides a lot of...

Why Bitcoin Is Worthless: The Definitive Guide

So I'm moving money around to try out some crypto projects I'm thinking about buying into. I had like $90 worth of litecoin sitting in my coinbase account from a while ago. To put it where I want it I needed bitcoin. To get it to bitcoin cost $6.00 on coinbase. To send it cost me about $4.00...

We already have a UBI: It's called Mining Crytocurrency

I hope the mining works out for you. I did some research into it years ago and the math doesn't really work for most people. You are competing with people that are literally set up next to power plants and dams.

    The ideal cryptocurrency

I will check it out. As a trader that is tired of watching myself getting sub-pennied every time I make a trade I can't express exactly how excited I am by the potential of these exchanges.
