    Intraday options data

I'm using Sierrachart with IB. Any attempt to download historical intraday options data fails. Any one else experience this?

    Conversion strategy

Could you elaborate on that? How will the interest rate effect the position if I enter now and hold till expiration?

    Conversion strategy

I was looking into dividend capture strategies and I noticed a conversion could be set up on QQQ with long dated options for a guaranteed profit. This can be found with a few other symbols too. Is this legit, seems like this shouldn't be possible. What risks are not showing up in the risk profile?

    Bear put vs bear call

I'm focusing on weeklies on either SPY, ES futures, or SPX index. Holding period is 1 or 2 weeks, til expiration, ideally. Most sources that I've seen discussing vertical spreads will only touch on bear calls, very few mention bear puts, especially when placed ITM. I imagine that's do to...

    Bear put vs bear call

Yes, if the options are on stocks. What if they're options on the ES or index options?

    Bear put vs bear call

Is there any advantage to setting up a ITM bear put spread over a OTM bear call? The risk graph of both are similar. There is a disadvantage of ITM options having wider bid/ask spreads.

Leading data for ES futures, thoughts?

There is the 'fast cash index'. The actual real time price point of an index based off real time prices of underlying stocks, not the delayed index. I calculated it once for the dow and it seemed to lead the YM, but only very briefly.

    Bid/Ask volume studies

This study can lead price. Notice how it broke below the 8:35 low well before price did, this morning.

    Bid/Ask volume studies

There is another study called Bid & Ask Depth Bars, which can be based off market depth rather than recorded transactions on bid or ask. Link to study description: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudiesReference.php&ID=213&Name=Bid_Ask_Depth_Bars

    Bid/Ask volume studies

The above studies and others sirrachart provides are the trades transacted on the bid or ask, not the orders in the book. It an historical time and sales summed for each period.

    Bid/Ask volume studies

I recently upgraded my data feed from IB's garbage to real time tick by tick, so I'm able to screw around with accurate bid/ask volume data. Has anyone found any usefulness for studies based on bid/ask volume? Is it predictive at all? I never found use for total volume. Sierrachart has 3 kinds...
