Thank you for your reply. That is exactly what I used to do in the beginning. But don't you think that as the amount of data keeps on growing, it will become difficult to manage and correlate the important points from so many different word documents ?

Are you sure that OneNote does not allow a free viewer ? I was thinking that it might allow something like google docs in which many people can view your spreadsheet online ! Is such an option not available in OneNote ? And if I have any update then I can just update the respective article...
