    Possible shake-up by market makers

They are also known to have screwed the market makers at their own game, using their (ie. MM's) own algo, which was SOES at that time. I bring this up because of the correlation you imply between wide spread vs liquidity. Eventually, some smart dude(s) will come up with a creative way to screw...

    Possible shake-up by market makers

That's what I suspect as well. It ain't the MMs who are colluding, it's the HFT all piling in at the same time that are creating these slingshot moves.

    Possible shake-up by market makers

Well, it's always easier said than done (especially in hindsight). Yes, I agree 100% but unless you were the one who clearly got on the bandwagon long before the move even started, let alone you have anticipated the drift up (or down) far in advance, it's just a piper's dream... I'm afraid.

    Possible shake-up by market makers

Last Friday was due to Triple Witching. Maybe this week is due to single witching (weekly options). BTW 14 points is hardly anything to be wowed about. That's less than 0.5%.

    Traders Common Mistake

The common mistake among dumb traders are that they are always looking up to smart traders to tag along. On the contrary, what they should be doing is looking for traders dumber than themselves to dump their holdings.

What you say might be true, but the way you phrased it sounds not too different from the people you despise.

How many of you need to learn coding to work with data ?

One that isn't curve fitted, which most optimized strats are IMO. However, I'll grant that codes can help speed up the process of finding one. But my bone of contention is that many think that coding is synonymous with trading. Running a bunch of scripts won't magically give you a money-making ATM.

How many of you need to learn coding to work with data ?

That's called "optimization", but it's not a profitable strategy unto itself.

Wallet That Helped Trigger UST Implosion Linked by Analysis Firm to Terra Developer

The popular decentralized stablecoin lost its dollar peg and fell to pennies in May. A South Korean blockchain analysis firm suggests the death spiral was sparked by transactions from a wallet linked to the lead Terra developer – though any motivation or rationale remains a mystery...

I think someone found the holy grail

If you really had a "holy grail" why the hell would you want to tell the whole world about it, let alone publish it on C2 for a measly amount? No, my friend, if you had a cash cow, you'll want to rather lock it away and keep your mouth shut.

I'm never going back to crappy Lenovo monitors

I've used Lenovo all-in-one desktop from Costco and the monitor was pretty decent, at least a lot better in comparison to the crappy HPs or Dells I've had in the past. Those two were the absolute worst, never going back.

TL;DR @JackMorgan If I were you, instead of rambling on about anti-crypto, I would just short the damn thing. In fact, all of them. Just imagine where you would be had you done that a month ago. It's still not too late.

How many of you need to learn coding to work with data ?

So my question to you: Is your mathematical formula any more profitable than a strategy based on dozens of lines on the chart? I'm not saying coding is unnecessary. But before you even start coding, you need to have a profitable strategy in place.

How many of you need to learn coding to work with data ?

That's an anomaly, eg. outlier. You and I will never get even close to Rentec, no matter how much we know about coding.

How many of you need to learn coding to work with data ?

Couldn't agree more. You really need a profitable strategy to begin with. No amount of coding experience will somehow magically give you a profitable strategy (unless you're overfitting).
