I slept in late as I was up late and by the time I showered got some coffee and sat down and look at the computer that channel up from the open was history. I never saw it. Never got to trade it.

Ok here is the trade. It was a larger position trade. It ended up working out but it was getting quite risky. Here are some chart. I traded 50 Es contracts by averaging down as price moved against me. While the overall strategy was sound (price was strong) and it ended up working out there is a...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

I may get the chance to show some mistakes. And of course an explanation. It can be costly trading if one has a psychological error. But we learn from our mistakes. Right? Well sometimes. Anyway I will let the trade play out but the odds favor it being a mistake but it could work out. If it...

I can agree with some of your points here. The problem is it is nigh impossible to automate Price Action. See successful price action depends not only on reading context (larger and immediate), interpreting the contexts, seeing setups, executing those setups, setting initial SL’s and PT’s BUT...

Look at it in terms of the larger context. We are talking about things of a tactical nature in the context of a SPBL trend. The tactics don't necessarily apply as well in other contexts.

I am assuming you are talking about the last chart I posted in my post #81? If so, here is my response. In SPBL trends there are different ways to trade it. All are ok I could choose either methodology to use. 1) I can enter on what looks like weakness (but really isn't as it is just a minor...

Oops I never did answer this did I? Look at it this way. If today, after lunch (ribs and beer) I "see" you rubbing your stomach and groaning abit, saying it hurts some and you feel some pressure. And then you start asking where the restroom is located. I can reasonably predict you will soon be...

well...whatever...if you want to believe all market action is totally random....then you are free to believe the rubbish. However, the argument that the long-term is more predictable than the short term is what is rubbish. The entire premise of the argument is invalid and TOSH.

When you make the right argument I will agree. So far you haven’t that I can see. Maybe I missed it? I am getting old you know. I will repeat: Price movement is NEVER random and there is no such thing as noise. They can appear to be but that is deceptive. False concepts they be. Have been, are...

A message to some day traders.

Bingo! Markets are not random, never have been, and never will be. In addition, there is no such thing a noise. If the market moves 1tick there was a reason why it did so. That sends the guru’s into a diving tail spin.

You are partially correct. Here are seven reasons why I think the reversal, which is in the form of a two legged spike, will morph into a bull channel. It did. The tight channel with much less of a slope than the spike reversal ended up being a SPBL TREND with is one of the strongest trends...

Better to do what he is doing. He could lose his 1200 on 1 trade in the ES. Besides he is getting a good comm rate on micro. ES brokers have to make a living too you know. Do you contribute?
