Man, Trading Is Depressing Now; No Energy

Did you read his post? BuyLo specifically referred (at least in my understanding) to the seemingly random swings in the market in the last 3-4 days. Has nothing to do with being on the right side of a trade over 18 months.

Spain, Ireland `Thrown to the Wolves' After ECB Move

A few major unions going on strikes enforcing wage increases and Trichet and Weber might in turn be forced to engage in a series of rate hikes even as signs of a slowdown are abundant, adopting the Bundesbank's "pro-active" policy. Should this scenario come together kiss the Eurozone economy...

Fannie Mae, Freddie Losses Make Them `Insolvent,' Poole Says

I think you might be spot on. Also, I wouldn't rule out a 'forced merger'/'lumping together and cutting 50% of staff' of a) NCC/WB/WM into a new entity - basically the ugliest bigger banks with the worst residential loan exposure b) PHI/HOV/LEN/DHI/etc. into a new entity

Did the PPT intervene in the markets today?

Two things I learned on ET: Case 1. Market is extended to the downside from all medium term moving averages and snaps back a tiny little bit -> "IT WAS THE PPT, THE MARKET IS RIGGED" Case 2. Market is extended to the upside and sells off -> "THE SKY IS FALLING, THIS IS A NEW GREAT...
