I think they take the raw test results and apply them to a bell curve. So 1050 is always the average but that could be 50 Percent right or 30percent right for that cohort

fixed strike shift is just the difference between yesterday and today. for sticky delta shift you have to compare the vol today to the delta/moneyness equivalent vol yesterday.
