Will I make the big $$$ with this Firm?

Well, those 2 restrictions are just totally at opposites. So your average risk per trade is less than a buck ? Ridiculous !!

    Emini Trading Rooms

At least OpenRangeTrading publishes their monthly results....which are extremely volatile !! Up $10k one month, down $1k the next. This smacks of instability in their approach IMHO.

    Emini Trading Rooms

I was in a trading room last week, but I came away from the experience disappointed: no trades were called, and no performance stats were provided. I did learn some things about the set-ups they were using however, and I was able to see the head-trader's screen. So I did some research, and this...

VRX - time to buy ?

Actually MCD was a fabulous short when it hit a ridiculous price (and valuation) of 130. WTF....contrary plays are risky, but when they work, they're home runs.

    Getting started with options algotrading

I totally agree. Reliable historic option prices are one of the issues. Also, To make this work, the options that would be traded must have good liquidity.

$300/month cost (as of January 2016, for current rates click here) 3 month minimum term No minimum trade requirements Emini S&P futures exchange fee is: $0.92/rt for 0 – 75 RTs/day Suddenly, it's apparent these brokers are making a KILLING !!! WTF does "IOM" stand for ? I really hate all of...

VRX - time to buy ?

I respect Jim Chanos, but he is not always 100% correct. No doubt, this could be an Enron deal.... it has all of the earmarks....crazy pricing, poor accounting, fraud, corruption. Can Pappa and Ackman counter these issues ? That's the big unknown....and will take a few more months to vet.

VRX - time to buy ?

Rock 'n Roll Boyz...... Valient down today on huge volume....21 million shares so far. However, the whole biotech sector is getting creamed today. A Double bottom could be forming......25/35 debit call spreads may be the way to go with VRX.

Clarification of AMP's $1,000 subscription pricing model

All I want to know is this: Does the $1.68 per side include the clearing fee and the exchange fee ? If not, the the TOTAL per-side cost is $1.68 + $1.17 = $2.85

What is the best platform for backtesting?

Unless it's a long-term trading approach, don't even think about it for intraday trading. Reason: STA (Single Threaded Architecture). All of the popular platforms are multi-threaded....for a good reason.

What is the best platform for backtesting?

Exactly. And notice how he never mentions specifics....re: "lacking other things". What things specifically ? These auto-trading platforms are hugely complex....I can't imagine the number of lines of code that comprise these systems.

BSO - Best Scale Out: How computed ?

While I am on the subject, is anyone using this particular journal which is built in Excel ? Comments on it ? To me, I am worried I will have to enter the trade information manually....ughh. I've asked the author if there is an import facility or whether it can be customized to have one.

BSO - Best Scale Out: How computed ?

http://trading-journal-spreadsheet.com/faqs/mfe-mae-bso/ The above article explains MFE and MAE, but doesn't really address how BSO is computed. I understand the concept.....BSO is the best theoretical exit one could have obtained in the trade. I've also seen where the best trades are where the...

Clarification of AMP's $1,000 subscription pricing model

I compute the AMP rate at $1.68 for at least 2000 trades and $1.43 for 4000 trades. With a fixed-price deal, you must divide by the volume to come to a per-trade amount.
