What % are you willing to sacrifice to maintain a position?

Here4money, Can you please give example of what you mean? My simple understanding is, if your account balance is $50,000, you set a risk % tolerance of 1 or 2. Which means you can only risk $500 or $1000 per trade. Is that what you mean?

What % are you willing to sacrifice to maintain a position?

Thanks for the explanation. It is a no brainer, but I have not been putting value into risk neither the reward. I was just taking the trade and often exit with reward smaller than the risk. I never valued risk management. Now I do. Overall, I like the risking 1-2% of account balance per trade...

What % are you willing to sacrifice to maintain a position?

padutrader, I know you are a professional trader. Are you seriously risking 100% of your account balance per trade you take in Forex? For example, if your account balance is $20,000, at 100% risk tolerance, you actually risk $20,000 on ALL your trades today? Please respond.

What % are you willing to sacrifice to maintain a position?

Great post. I been doing this for 4 years unsuccessfully. After some proper training and reading. I am now realizing that if I have an account balance of $20,000, just keep it simple and only risk 2% of account balance of per trade. That is $400 per trade to start off risking. Then trade as...

    Cheap Stocks to Buy Recommendation

Hello Everyone, The stock market is falling. Are there any stocks you can recommend me to buy for cheap? In March 2009, I made a mistake not buying PIR and AIG in the cents range. I don't want to miss the opportunity again. Thank you

    Leaving Money On The Table

Thanks for the response tiddlywinks, Question please: 1. How do you learn to trust and be confident in the system to believe the system when it says exit, to exit? And not play the mental woulda-coulda-shoulda mind games with yourself. How do you trust the trading system? Thanks

    Leaving Money On The Table

The biggest problem faced with me (or maybe other traders), is gaining the confidence to pull the trigger each and every trade I think will be a winner. AND not having doubt in my abilities. The solution to that problem, IMO, is constant study and constant practice all the time to increase...
