That's could be another aspect: earning 500K at Goldman requires pre-requisites (talent, degrees, career, contacts, etc..) that you could not have or realize in a reasonable time or being in your cards, while earning 100K with one own trading talent could be more probable even if not assured.

Why don't create at least a backup for one mkt (e.g. eCBOT) with TT under the 'transactional model'? You should be able to get similar commission obviously opening another account. I'm using this setup.

It could be a process on background that is using too much CPU % and when you have large / fast data /moves your CPU can't keep up with the streaming as it does regularly. Obviously deactivate any antivirus/antispamming/ to scan in realtime the TWS folder. Usually there is the 'exclusion'...

Why don't you evaluate to run some of the work on a RAM Drive to eliminate some I/O bottlenecks is any? Did you already try with a dual-core or (better) a dual-CPU setup?
