It's only for running TT X_Trader and another software in foreground. Any other experience -- also about using the CPU affinity feature to assign single CPU to specific thread?

I'm using a Pentium D 945 running @ 4Ghz :p ...do you mean that a "D" is better than an Extreme Edition class CPU --to be used in Windows XP Pro and TT X_Trader that is a multi-thread application? Or, by the way, a Duo Core CPU is really better?! :confused: :eek:

No, simply XTrader 7.x

Simply slower, no missing fills; sometimes its happens I place several orders with single clicks and if I then try to remove all the orders at the same price level, 1 order remains on MD...(again, sometimes..)

Great post! Exactly! The point is probably during the news the speed of execution is even more critical (so effectively they 'read' the news faster than anyone human) and also the algorithm to pile up on those moves must determinant to 'find' those levels of prices where the winner is able...

Good question!...but my access to TT 6.x has been disabled after the upgrade to 7: they want to switch all the users to 7.x.
