whats the difference for a US citizen to trade though HLV in USA or SPAIN or CHINA ? ( besides the women being sexier in spain maybe or the chinese food being more varied in china than in USA ) ? :p

dude .... that must of been some software glitch or something that caused those prices to be so far off ... before you bought those shares ... what were they trading at pre market ? I do not think you have a leg to stand on in this case ... this is not 1999 and a dotcom stock you...

try SSF's on one chicago exchange ...

could a shrewd trader or hedge fund have shorted anything related to RFX on the 10th and lucked out from the confusion / rumors ? was today showing some short term capitulation in some names from a few days ago ? CME GFIG GS and other broker dealers? :cool:

is there a point in time where a HF becomes big enough to reduce the chance of there being "fraud" to extremely small if at all ? ( yes ... a series of bad bets or overleverage can still do a HF in ... but I am strictly asking about fraud here ) :eek:

what I would like to know is A: if REFCO had not gone through the IPO and private buyout prior to this ... would anyone have been wise to what was going on behind the scenes, and if so would it have made any difference ? in other words ... does becoming a public company...

HI / LOW prices for stocks sometimes I see erroneous prices on my TWS and wish IB could run a scan say 2 X a day to correct the "bad" ticks. also ... why can't IB charting show After hours pricing for stocks too ?

refco too big to fold ... maybe some other firm steps in if needed to buy them out or combine assets with them or ... could they consider going private again? is that allowed so soon after an IPO? :confused:

hi volente ... just curious what your ratio of wins vs losses is when using 10 pt , 20 pt , even 40 pt stop loss and if this stop loss is mental stop or hard stop with limit on the exchange ? I guess another Question is when using those stops of yours ... what your profit...
