    This market is WEAK!!!

A 10% market drop is nothing out of the ordinary in a historical context. Yes, maybe they were out to scare short sellers with the cut on OE day, you never know. But historically you don't see the Fed panic on every 10% drop in the SP500. I think it takes more in terms of a drop, maybe 25%...

    This market is WEAK!!!

To be honest, no, I don't think this Fed will be too concerned with the stock market performance. Regardless of where stocks go till Sept., I think they will look at ISM and NFP (amongst other things) and see if they can justify a cut or not.

    This market is WEAK!!!

Right, we'll see how the markets react to the ISM and NFP numbers which will be released BEFORE the Fed meeting. I think these (not the numbers, but the markets reaction) could give us clues for the likelihood of a cut: Sep 04 10:00 ISM Index Sep 07 08:30 Nonfarm Payrolls Sep 18 14:15...

    This market is WEAK!!!

I agree statistics and percentages matter. I wouldn't mind a retest or whatever the markets needs to do. I'll trade it either way. Just wanted to point out: While technical analysis and specifically volume analysis are great tools, nothing is for certain, not even an immediate retest (even more...

    This market is WEAK!!!

I read "history tells us we will have to retest the lows" all the time. Why is that? What rulebook says there must be another turn down before we test new highs? Isn't a slow crawl up or a sideways grind just as likely as a retest of lows is?

    This market is WEAK!!!

Here's Barton Bigg's view on the topic. From what I gather from the video, he feels more capital will be "hurt" by a slow grind upwards than an immediate re-test of last week's lows. http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=481926246&play=1

    This market is WEAK!!!

According to that theory, how are we ever going to see big volume on up days?

    This market is WEAK!!!

You could say every correction/dip/sell off (call it what you want) in the last 4 years had high volume sell offs and low volume bounces. I don't think you can gain any insights from these facts at this point. All bounces will be low volume because nobody trusts them.

    Hedge-fund Redemption Shock

BS article. Investors know funds have lock up periods. It's how HFs work. Some funds have 3 year lock ups.

Berkshire Hathaway Loads Up On Financial Stocks

Here's the good news. It trades at >100k so it won't likely end up on your buy list anyways.

How to pull the rug on SPX market makers

Weren't you the guy that was running his mouth in the other thread how he's trouncing Warren Buffet's returns by writing naked puts one month out? LMAO

    Vectorvest -- anyone use it?

Search for a thread called "want to share" in "Journals". The author uses VV (amongst other tools). You have to go through the whole thread though, he answers VV related questions every now and then.

    Can't afford CFC to fail

This is major news. We will likely gap up big on this tomorrow with strength across the board in financials. How far it will go I have no idea but to think of how many billions are now changing hands thanks to people that went net short last week and just held on to their positions...

LMAO the ES is 100 handles higher intraday in a week and you're talking your religious bulls and bears nonsense. There's money to be made and this week - so far - it was on the long side. Keep watching CNBC.

The Chickens Come Home To Roost - Where are they now?

Yea, that's the REIF. I was asking about Renaissance's Medaillon, the legendary black box fund people are now ridiculing for no reason at all. Again, it's so sad people can't hold different funds apart. Not only here on the board, but it goes through all the Bloomberg, Reuters and WSJ articles.
