    Welfare

Interesting...I guess you would have to look at countries that do not have those things to see what we would be like... But if I had to guess,(what else can we do?) I would say that we would definately have more crime, Young people would not be going out and partying as much as they would...

So in 2000 when they did the census, they created 860k jobs. The population was 281 million. 10 years later, they expect the population to be around 308 million or about a 9.6% increase in population. For Census 2010, they are planning to create 1.2 million jobs with the Census, about a...

New Richest Man In The World

Isnt that guy from de beers richer? I mean if they had assets of 1/4 of a trillion dollars in 1987(back when a trillion used to be worth something), and they are making MORE money today than back then...surely Oppenheimer is richer. I mean..the guy has been making billions of dollars per year...

    The coming international trade war

Yeah the US really does make alot of noise. I dont know how many of you travel, but it seems like whenever i see the news in other countries, there is the the president of the US giving some speech, or some other news thats happening in the US. Sometimes I actually see more news about the...

    Converting dollars to CHF

Just put your money into gold or silver. (if you wife is old enough to remember the soviet collapse, surely being Russian she would recommend this) I really do not think there is any benefit to having a bank account in switzerland anymore (unless you are trying to impress friends) I think...

Whoa. Record deficit in USA of $221 billion for February

Its like the neighbor that keeps buying expensive new cars, lives in a 500k house, his wife is wearing diamonds, but you know he is just a middle management employee at some corporation. On the outside it looks like he is doing well, but you do not want to give your money to this guy to invest...

Is it a good time to buy an investment property

First off...never buy a condo to rent out if it has HOA fees. Its just no worth it. Houses, apartments, things that you have 100% control over is best. Yes there are some negatives and I can remember the first and last names of problem tenants from 20 to 25 years ago. ( I remember this...

43% have less than $10k for retirement

Wow...43% less than $10k? 27% less than $1k? Thats like being a hair away from homelessness. I always see these contests where someone is giving away $1k to the winner and I'm always like "why would someone bother...its only $1k...what does that do...last a week?" But i guess if you have...

Republican anti-gay rights Senator says... 'I'm gay'

Anyway...say what you will, at least I have to give the guy credit for not voting for his own agenda. Alot of polititians vote they way THEY want and not what the people want. "Mr Ashburn said his votes reflected the way his constituents wanted him to vote, not his own "internal conflict". "

Republican anti-gay rights Senator says... 'I'm gay'

Yup...penguins make a CHOICE to be homosexual. Remember those famous penguins Roy and Silo? They broke up because silo decided to go get himself a female when one showed up. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,169653,00.html Dogs hump the legs of couches too. I guess that means dogs...

Republican anti-gay rights Senator says... 'I'm gay'

He is a father of four? This just goes to show how homosexuality is a choice, just like beastiality, incest, or pedophilia. Dont let anyone tell you that homos are BORN that way. Everyone has the natural instinct to go with the opposite sex. This is why homosexual men go with feminine...

I made my last 438 k mortgage payment just now. My bank doesn't seem happy.

You know what else i like? When you find out exactly how much you owe, send a check, then they tell you that you owe more in interest because they didnt cash and process the check for 15 or 20 days.

Is it a good time to buy an investment property

I disagree, with inflation coming soon, real estate is a better option. Rents generally double every 15 years or so, so if you put down 100k on a 500k apartment complex its safe to say that not only will you have paid down a little chunk of that but you will have that extra income in 15 years...

    Christianity......

God blinds the mind of Atheists because they harden their hearts to him. They really cant understand no matter how much you try to explain to them. They cant understand that everything is designed. Even if evolution were true, it would still need a thinking mind to create all the life we see...

    More duplicity from idiot woman...

Keep talking about Palin...Otherwise we might forget about her and nobody will remember her name in 2012 when she runs for president. Its a fact that the majority of Americans will vote for someone based only on how recognizable their name is. You are basically going to get the sheep to vote...

    Fixed versus ARM mortgage

yeah...you forget to factor in time. Alot of things can happen in 5 to 7 years. If hyperinflation takes hold, that arm could go to 20%. You have an unknown variable in your equation. When dealing with hundres of thousands of dollars, you really need to know that something is not going to...

Is it a good time to buy an investment property

As long as rent covers mortgage, repairs, vacancy, and that sort of stuff, its always good to buy. Dont worry about it getting cheaper. How much you really going to save if you wait? And how much income would you have lost out on if you didnt buy now?

RNC document mocks donors, plays on 'fear'

Amazing that you mentioned those countries who's economies are the highest debt to GDP in the world, or currently falling apart due to a real estate/banking collapse,or a previously failed state, that is weak, but lucky enough that the people have a high savings rate where they "look" ok.

Hypothetical: Effect of China dumping treasuries

Tons of people would buy them because they would sell at a discount. If they dumped them all, people might end up getting a real interest rate of 15% on those treasuries at maturity. Or heck..the government might just buy them and retire some of their debt. If china has $1 trillion of...
