Nothing wrong with getting rich trading hard, but will money destroy your mind.

Sorry : are you saying that one is pathologic if one is not a power-seeking person ? "Rationalization of failure" : context? * what about people who grew up say in "unconventional families" who associate the acquisition of money with crime, and later on reject crime ? * It seems...

Nothing wrong with getting rich trading hard, but will money destroy your mind.

fully agree about what money brings : extra form of energy, a certain kind of freedom, an enabling resource. But just know that some boxers make the choice to eat less so as to compete in a "lighter" category. Some prefer competing in "feather weight" for instance. :)

If you could go back in time to when you were a new trader

For sure there are many things I would have done very differently: 1) Spend first on clinical psy, instead of wasting money and time on trading classes. 2) Give a good boot to anybody who - no matter their own reasons- showed any signs of wanting to hold me back. 3) I would have played...

What are the largest drains on the economy/financial system?

Looks like the costs varies between $50 billion to $50 Trillion. Peilthetraveler might have worked out how he came to the costing. Hopefully he'll explain how he arrives at this relatively cheap cost to solve all the US problems. :)

    You gotta love the French...

You never know what they will bring. After all, the French were the first one to talk about republic, democraties, human rights and a lot of things - as I can see from my travelling - people are taking advantage of. But then I can't really understand things on historical scale. :)...

    The CL/NQ experiment

Gabe, Just my opinion : it seems to me you will make it. :) But this is just my personal opinion. Actually, most people's ego would make it difficult for them to post on a public forum their unimpressive performances. So you have one quality that will allow you to overcome any problem ...

What are the largest drains on the economy/financial system?

Peilthetraveler : I feel your pain. You have identified the cause of all the financial, social and economic problems in the US. You have even been able to see a solution to clean up all these financial, social and economic problems. Now how are you going to convince people to implement all of...

I now understand the coach saying when the "/psychology spirituality" is sorted, all falls in place naturally. Work on the core, and all sorts itself naturally. I guess I understand better when I experience it myself. got to move the first "2014" yearly trade stop to be+spread+1...

should you really wait for support??

Hi WWatson1, Could you be kind enough to take this set-up - even on a demo -: * IF a strong breakout bullish bar appears out of a trading range * This followed by a small bearish inside bar - take a long trade, 1 tic above the bearish bar - stop : 1 tic below the bearish bar -...

Seriously, for those who are really struggling with the psychology, the www.dhamma.org is very good : yes it is an Asian technique, not a Western one. Just to make it clear when doing it : - make sure you stay the full 10 days. The first 3 days, one learns to calm the mind...
