Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

It was option expiry so not surprising. A flat day is actually better then the norm on such days.

Australia’s property boom making the nation poorer

Foreign ownership ( 3.4% ) and speculation isn't really an issue in Metro Toronto. Just isn't much supply of open housing and that will remain the case until at least year 2050 looking at projected immigration stats. Plenty of people here can afford it; there are benefits once you are set up (...

Crude oil seems not good at the moment

I'm always holding some energy companies just adjusting my weightings. Actually rebought three oil firms late yesterday.

    Which way? Gold.

Hard to say so many false starts with the miners this year plus option expiry tomorrow. For what's its worth there were a ton of upgrades on Gold miners today by one bank in Canada and the old targets were already well above current prices. Gold itself feels like it's being manipulated lately (...

    Which way? Gold.

Gold looks bullish to me and miners even more so. It's a very gradual trend but I doubt it's done with all the inflation talk and Bitcoin getting volatile.

Cathie Woods, Ark etf now called Bark etf- its a dog

Plenty of traders weren't geniuses though they were the opposite to some degree. The most popular trade on here was shorting the SPX from 2010-2015. March 2020 shorting was really popular even after the market made a floor. Buying ARK funds would have paid nicely most of 2020.

Cathie Woods, Ark etf now called Bark etf- its a dog

Some of her Bitcoin comments sound a little irrational but she's in tune with what the millennials are thinking. Anyone can see the funds are high risk when many of them had 10% Tesla. They serve a purpose there is no unhappy ending if you make a lot of money. She made a lot of money. I doubt...

QQQ is far superior to SPY

Long term historical performance is kind of useless in years after a huge move up or down in indexes, or during an economic recovery. I patterned my decisions since March 2020 based on what occurred 2009-2012. Strong commodities ( especially Copper ), strong CDN$, strong cyclicals like Cdn...

Crude oil seems not good at the moment

My opinion temporary choppiness on the way to $80 at some point. However, I sold most of my high volatility Oil stocks this week. Choppiness can create new entry points at any point, the range can be played on many stocks taking into account Oil moves. Many of the Cdn energy stocks I trade are...

The World Economy Is Suddenly Running Low on Everything

There is no point to your "warning"; inflation at these levels is not a problem and actually still short of official goals. This is how you recover from a recession induced by a pandemic. Shortages will be addressed naturally by market dynamics. If commodity prices rise, it motivates producers...

    Correction coming, or crash?

Sold most Gold miners, still heavy Silver miners. Based on normal Tuesday pullback pattern Rebought some energy firms and two positions in Copper miners.

Why? - Back to the Office - Fannies in Chairs

Remote work was growing rapidly even before Covid. Depends on the industry and how sparse talent is it can be a huge advantage to offer remote work.

    Correction coming, or crash?

Sold my last Copper miner; put the money in MAG Silver. Day trade in nature. Nat Gas companies appear to be taking out 52 week highs now. Oil is getting interesting but unclear if it's ready to go higher.

    Correction coming, or crash?

Kinross up 6%, Endeavour Silver up 10%. I'm also liking CXB ( Calibre ), MAG Silver, New Gold, maybe Eldorado Gold today. I took a flyer a few weeks ago on junior silver play BCM ( was losing significant money on it but it's recovered 100%; potential break out candidate if it can rise above...

    Correction coming, or crash?

Anticipated commodity stock rally is on. Nat Gas crushed $3; stocks a little slow to react but they will. Gold/Silver broke recent highs and this time the stocks are responding. Oil at $66 can't be bad. Copper flat for now. I am in particular interested in Silver and Nat Gas, with a side...

This is such an ignorant post. This might be how you personally operate sure.

    Correction coming, or crash?

When you post that a multi-year high got set and that an economic number was "dismal" that screams extreme negative bias.

Why should the past have the slightest predictive power for the future?

Depends on what you are talking about. Cyclical areas for example often are predictable to some degree based on economic cycles and momentum. Some stocks make decent gains on average every year for decades. You can buy those when the overall market drops and they get dragged down in concert ( eg...

    Correction coming, or crash?

Your negative bias is showing. The vast majority of economic news the last 2-3 months has been extremely positive. GDP up 6-10% has exceeded expectations. If you think the economic story is weak eventually you need confirmation of that and right now the economy is growing rapidly out of the...

Looking for Energy ETFs to Rebound

It's a good risk/reward to hold energy plays on the chance of $80 Oil until such point as the momentum is clearly over. Nat gas stocks have been really strong lately I'm hoping for the $3 level to break. Green energy may provide some value here I only follow one stock but it's sold off most of...
