Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

It's very relevant just beyond your comprehension right now and I'm not going to explain it to you. Ask yourself why so many traders were horribly wrong about everything from 2009-2013. And many repeated the same mistakes in 2020 to some degree. I remember touting BMO at $60 Cdn March 2020 and...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

I play probabilities and too many short term traders have unreasonable ideas on long term moves. Like expecting 30% crashes twice within 8-15 months when there have apparently only been 6 such moves in the SPX the last 72 years. I've been trading off and on since the 1980s. I know far more now...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Except that it's not super inflation. Obviously some of you don't remember the 1980s. Or even remember 2009-2011 enough to understand long commodity stocks can be an awfully good trade in an economic recovery. If inflation truly kicks in like some think, then Gold is going to at least $3000. My...

House Prices Surpass Housing-Bubble Peak on One Key Measure of Value

Yes, local market is important and the move to more work at home situations makes personal property more valuable overall. Someone with a home office in Canada can write off that portion of the overall home expenses off their income. Couples or families who spend more time in their home often...

    Salty's Revenge

Go long some Silver stocks if you think the Reddit effect is back. Fortuna, Silvercrest, Silvercorp, MAG Silver all rallied hard last time.

    Leveraged Gold Producers

Junior and mod cap gold miners always outperform Gold on breakouts. I like more active stocks like New Gold, Calibre Mining, OceanaGold. There are a bunch of others that are unclear if they'll wake up strongly ( eg Eldorado, Alamos, Equinox, B2Gold, Kinross ). Silver miners may move in tandem...

Canada’s covid-19 second wave is a humbling moment after a summer of bragging

Ok it's 87 degrees F in Toronto today and idiot TreeFrogTrader thinks Lake Ontario will be ice bound until June.

Canada’s covid-19 second wave is a humbling moment after a summer of bragging

Ontario is doing an excellent job rolling out vaccines schedules are being accelerated in some cases. Only 8% of Canadians would refuse to get a vaccine at this point versus something like 25% in the US. Don't be a "Jem" people ignorance is not a virtue :):):). While Canada may have been...

The Israeli conflict in a nutshell

Perhaps part of the solution is to confiscate the home and property of Gwb_Trading and put the proceeds to "better" use. Hell, we could even let a nice Jewish family take over his home.

    NQ 13800

Broader market behavior has a significant impact on which commodities do well short term. When we are at key resistance points several things have to line up to get a break out to new highs. Of course, for the stocks themselves a break out in the commodity can be extremely lucrative even just...

    Correction coming, or crash?

We're awfully close to 4238 now. Might even hit it tomorrow. How many years again ?

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Sorry I don't actively follow US indexes right now except as a broader indicator. Perhaps the exact time of selling is due to something you follow. Just like Gold/Silver prices often drop in price ( sometimes by a lot ) between 2 am and 3:30 am est. I'm not sure exactly why other then...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

You missed my point. Option expiry impact was in full evidence on Friday and today. It is a rare month when stocks don't drop between roughly 10 am and 3 pm on these days. There is almost always a rebound either after 3 pm Friday ( sometimes as late as 3:50 pm ), on the open Monday, or both...

    Which way? Gold.

There is no doubt a decent chance of a rally here. I just can't make up my mind which commodity area has the best chances : Gold, Silver, Oil. I've reduced my Nat Gas and Copper holdings significantly awaiting how this all shakes out short term.

POLL: Big crash coming this week?

Go ahead, post your "free money" trades then. Be specific. If you want to short US indexes, we need to see where you'll cover. Because most of the bears on here that were high fiving themselves during the black swan last year messed up the trade. Which is of course why such trades are difficult...

POLL: Big crash coming this week?

You posted a similar poll October 25, 2020 asking if we'd crash by the end of 2020. 73% said no. I can tell you my account is up 59% ( long only positions ) since the end of October. If I'd have listened to you in October my account would be at least 59% smaller. You seem to expect "crashes"...

Australia’s property boom making the nation poorer

Your theories about real estate are ignorant; your "solution" even worse. Your understanding of who owns real estate in countries like Canada and apparently Australia as well is poor at best. Reality however is that you like some of the media and assorted mediocre internet voices have zero say...
