these people have lawyers and know their industry. in one case, maybe the person didn't anticipate/know that his plane was going to make a short stay-over in the US. it was either bad planning or bad luck, if the plane made an unforeseen landing in the US.

there was no crime committed in the non-citizens home country.

the point behind this thread is why do people whose business activity is legal in their home countries visit the US where same activity is considered to be illegal.
if by chance you are thinking of trading off inside information, forget that thought. the SEC has very sophisticated methodology to detect unusual trading patterns.
the solution is for you to find a broker with an interface you find acceptable. if you can't find one, improve your trading skills to the point where at least one trading platform becomes usable.
