Looking for a prop firm for U.S. equities

I'm only guessing when you say Prop firm that you are talking about a JBO style BD. If not, tell us. In that business, you are a trader and Capital partner. Your funds get added to firm capital of a regulated BD. Your trading account is NOT your account. It is a firm account to track your P/L...

Looking for a prop firm for U.S. equities

But your expenses from the Prop business (e.g. interest, software, market data etc) should be part of your K1 as they are expenses of the Prop BD that are removed from your P/L.

I would say yes, but you have to ask that BD. What value would that provide you?

market or adaptive market order for fast fill?

Stocks, Options, futures? To be honest, I can't imagine it makes a material difference. It should appear to be instantaneous.

The changing character of the Futures Market brought about with the introduction of Micro contracts.

If I were a day trader, focusing on broad-based indexes, I would only trade futures. The size of the contract would depend on the size of my account and what I want to risk on each trade. I do not find your comment of HFT material. There are HF market makers in all liquid symbols. They are...

market or adaptive market order for fast fill?

I assume you are an IB client because that term "adaptive urgent market order" seems to only apply to their system. When you ask questions like this, it would help to tell us the asset class, but I expect only IB would have that metric as to what order gets to the market faster. As you are new...

Does IB offer ticker chart for e-minis?

I can't say I agree with that. IMO, the original idea was to provide an inexpensive source of option order flow to Timberhill, their trading arm. They love the retail flow. In the early days of PFOF in options, it was getting very expensive to set up these DMM relationships where you received...

IB - Stop market order triggered not executed

I think before you make any changes, you should create a ticket at IB and ask why the STOP was triggered but you received no fill. Then you can decide what to do differently next time. We use EDGX as those STOP orders are serverside at the exchange vs being held by your software or your broker.

Average float size per industry / sector?

What is the purpose of this? How does the number of shares of listed companies by industry help you? I would think Market Cap would be a better metric.

New To Options: Why Would Anyone Day/Swing Trade Stocks Over Options?

When you say "nonlinear", can you expand on that? I'm not sure what you are referring to.

New To Options: Why Would Anyone Day/Swing Trade Stocks Over Options?

The underlying is a pure-play. As you said, options require added knowledge to use correctly and meet your goals. They are also generally less liquid with wider markets than the underlying.
